Job Summary:
Universal Music Group is seeking a coordinator with an innate love of organization and meticulous detail to serve as a Production Coordinator for Killer Tracks, Universal Publishing's Production Music (business to business) division. Killer Tracks produces 65 albums per year for licensing, and this position will handle the administrative and organizational duties required to successfully release these albums, from securing proper documentation to following through on payments, organizing audio files and inputting data into our client facing search system.
Job Functions:
• Responsible for creating, maintaining and distributing project schedules.
• Responsible for audio archiving finished projects.
• Co-ordinate, enter and/or proof all song/track/composer/publisher data in our data system.
• Complete disc categories and disc coding to release projects on our website.
• Download and organize audio files; as well as upload files to various vendors.
• Responsible for completing composer agreements, follow-up and scan for virtual archive.
• Point of contact for composers to update information; coordinate changes with Royalties & Accounts Payable.
• Process invoices for composers.
• Maintain spreadsheets to track invoices for budget reports.
• Responsible for copyright registration for all releases.
• Request funds to maintain Deposit account at the Library of Congress.
• Responsible for sending all information to UPPM copyright dept. to register songs with ASCAP/BMI/SESAC.
• Liason between publishing departments for production related topics.
• Assist VP of Production with administrative duties as needed including budget preparation.
• Initiate payments and code invoices for any production department purposes.
• Assist Marketing as needed including training and proofing.
• Create and run reports needed for production research.
• Verify Killer Tracks ownership and copyright details to worldwide partner inquiries.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Superb organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently and toward deadlines.
• Proficiency with basic business computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to learn to use proprietary software systems.
• Musical ability and/or knowledge helpful. Experience:
• 1 year experience in an organizational/administrative capacity. Education:
• B.A. preferred
• High School diploma
