POSITION: Marketing Manager Classics & Jazz (12 Month Contract)
REPORTING TO: Vice President, Catalogue Marketing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overseeing all aspects of marketing and product management concerning artists, projects and labels assigned.
• Representing Universal Music Canada Marketing Department in various internal and external meetings, bringing new opportunities to the overall team.
• Lead project strategy and cross-functional coordination to ensure that business requirements are being met and rolled out according to plan.
• Analyze data from various parts of the business to identify trends and opportunities.
• Developing, communicating and executing national marketing plans & campaigns including asset creation (content and advertising), streaming strategy, budgeting, implementation and follow-up.
• Prepare and co-ordinate specific project and/or team presentations and events.
• Manage relationships with internal teams from Operations, Sales, Promotion, Publicity, Interactive Media, Regional offices, Business Affairs and A&R, as well as relationships with International contacts, Artist Managers, Artist Agents, promoters and third-party contacts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Extensive knowledge of classical and jazz music.
• Knowledge of cross over repertoire in genres outside of classics & jazz.
• Minimum of 5 years experience specific to marketing.
• Passionate about music and innovation.
• Ability to work within assigned budgets & timelines.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Creative and highly motivated.
• Contributing to a positive work environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Highly adaptable and enjoy new challenges.
• Excellent organizational, planning and priority setting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and social media applications.
