Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manager to join our Global Data & Analytics team. The perfect candidate for this role is obsessed with perfection, enjoys analytical problem solving, and excels at working with diverse teams to achieve success. Job Functions:
• Identify and document current datasets, source systems, points of contact, and high-level load strategies; regularly maintain comprehensive data inventory going forward.
• Assess and report on data quality issues within our Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments; ensure issues are quickly remedied and business stakeholders are kept informed.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for all data quality issues; provide process improvement recommendations to prevent issue reoccurrence.
• Participate in the development of a Data Quality Framework to proactively mitigate causes of data inconsistencies and errors; promote the adoption of a data-quality mindset within the organization.
• Serve as a Data Custodian and key point of contact for our Enterprise Data Governance strategy; regularly attend Data Governance meetings, document outcomes, and follow-up when required.
• Collaborate with internal and external business partners to identify and acquire new datasets to meet evolving business needs.
• Prioritize and complete other tasks and projects as assigned in support of strategic objectives.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with business partners and colleagues.
• Expert analytic abilities using SQL, Excel, and other tools (e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.).
• Working knowledge of cloud-based data environments & tools (e.g. AWS, Big Query, Hadoop, etc.).
• Knowledge and understanding of Lean/Six-Sigma and Continuous Improvement Principals.
• Demonstrated ability to organize projects and bring them to a successful conclusion.
• Ability to write code in R, Java, or Python is a huge plus.
Experience:
• Experience collecting, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on qualitative and quantitative datasets in an Enterprise Analytics Environments.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline (Master's preferred).
