A. Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an eager and exceptional Manager, Creative Content who will be reporting to the Head of Creative Services. The manager is responsible for ideating with artists on the overall look and feel of their album campaign. He/she should tap into his/her network of photo agents, photographers, art directors, graphic designers, stylists, and hair and make-up professionals to oversee the creation of artist artwork.
B. Job Functions:
• Artist artwork includes photos, album covers, single covers, on-line assets (website/social media content), any printed materials, possibly merch, and other D2C products. This role includes ideating with artists on the overall look and feel of their album campaign.
• Responsibilities include producing and budgeting photoshoots, supervising the post/retouching of photos, as well as overseeing the design and layout of art-related work. At times, this person will jump in on design work himself/herself.
• This person plays an important role in finding the right styling, hair and make-up team to be working with an artist, so must be on the pulse of fashion trends.
• Must be creative and someone the artist can rely on to discuss art references, pop culture references, etc.
• Must be detailed-oriented (will need to securely oversee a significant numbers of art files for multiple artists at any given time); must be comfortable with putting together and tracking budgets, as well as negotiating with vendors.
• Communication skills MUST be top-notch, not only to speak with artists and managers, but to deal with lawyers
on artwork clearances/licenses, and will constantly engage with each and every department at the label to ensure any art-related requests are fulfilled. This role includes constantly trafficking assets and meeting strict deadlines.
• Must love music, photography/design and hard work. Should consider himself/herself as a storyteller through photos.
C. Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Expert in Photoshop and InDesign. Job will include travel.
Experience:
• 6-8 years of relevant work experience in the photo industry)
