Job Summary:
Universal Music Group is seeking a Manager, Consumer Engagement Operations to manage and support creation and operational execution of consumer engagement campaigns, products, D2C stores and marketing campaigns. The Manager will be the first line of command for the UMG Consumer Engagement Operations team in all D2C projects assigned, including involvement in artist marketing and ecommerce, and help with collaboration with label departments (product managers, digital marketing, and artist management, etc.) during the release setup. He/she will be responsible for overseeing and managing operational details associated with all D2C stores.
Job Functions:
• On the direction of the Consumer Engagement Director, manage the execution of D2Ccampaigns and programs to the highest quality.
• Liaise, oversee and execute operational processes of D2C ecommerce stores including product and inventory management, store and campaign setup, and troubleshooting issues with vendors and internal resources (label, UMG). Support Consumer Engagement Director and label leads to ensure priorities are managed and quality is achieved for D2C campaigns.
• Manage logistical setup between third party vendors and internal UMG systems
• Conduct quality control on all store set up process, including but not limited to implementing analytics tracking, copyediting, inventory management and reordering, trafficking customer service inquiries, and general custodianship of the digital and physical supply chain and stores. QA all new product and store launches - ensuring digital and physical supply chain are connected, stores
operate. Efficiently, backend set up is done correctly. Ensure quality customer experience from end to end.
• Obtain and track approvals from all internal and external parties on design, pricing, manufacturing deliverables and collaboration with D2C ops team on set up.
• Help evaluate and prioritize process improvements and make recommendations for operational changes.
• Assist in regular audits of the business process to ensure that things are running smoothly.
• Responsible for overseeing warehouse operations for fulfilment, product shipments, inventory management and customer service across all stores.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Proactive self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Excellent digital marketing and ecommerce project management experience required.
• Exceptionally strong ability to anticipate and solve issues independently.
• Direct experience managing ecommerce inventory, financial reporting, ecommerce platforms
• Working knowledge of HTML, Google Analytics, SmartURL, and other relevant ecommerce and digital marketing technologies
required
.
• Experience with day-to-day ecommerce operations
• Solid understanding of music industry sales and financial concepts.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Exceptional attention to detail Experience:
• 2-3 years professional experience in working with consumer engagement platforms, or ecommerce or related fields
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
