Job Summary:
Universal Music Group is seeking a Manager, Consumer Engagement Operations to manage and support creation and
operational execution of consumer engagement campaigns, products, D2C stores and marketing campaigns. The Manager will be the first line of command for the UMG Consumer Engagement Operations team in all D2C projects assigned, including involvement in artist strategy, product development, marketing and ecommerce, and help with collaboration with label departments (product managers, digital marketing, and artist management, etc.) during the release setup. He/she will be responsible for overseeing and managing operational details associated with all D2C stores.
Job Functions:
• Work with Director to execute strategy and campaigns based on their direction and needs.
• Liaise, oversee and execute operational development of D2C stores including product procurement, working with vendors and internal resources (label, UMG).
• Act as point for operational process strategies and improvements; liaise with all third parties as needed.
• Support Director and labels to ensure priorities are managed for D2C campaigns.
• Manage and oversee quality control on all store set up process, including but not limited to analytics tracking and implementation, copy, inventory management, customer service, and general custodianship of the digital and physical supply chain,
• Obtain and track approvals from all internal and external parties on design, pricing, manufacturing deliverables and collaboration with D2C ops team on set up.
• Help evaluate and prioritize process improvements and make recommendations for operational changes.
• Audits the business process after implementation to ensure that things are running smoothly.
• Oversee logistical setup between third party vendors and internal UMG systems
• QA all new product and store launches - ensuring digital and physical supply chain are connected, stores operate. Efficiently, backend set up is done correctly. Ensure quality customer experience from end to end.
• Responsible for overseeing warehouse operations for fulfilment and customer service across all stores.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Proactive self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Excellent digital marketing and ecommerce project management experience required.
• Exceptionally strong ability to anticipate and solve issues independently.
• Direct experience managing ecommerce inventory, financial reporting, ecommerce platforms (DrupalCommerce a plus) Deliver and digital marketing analytics required.
• Proficient in HTML, Google Analytics, SmartURL, and other relevant ecommerce and digital marketing technologies
required
.
• Experience with ecommerce operational process design and implementation
• Solid understanding of music industry sales and financial concepts.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Exceptional attention to detail Experience:
• 4 years professional experience in working with consumer engagement platforms, or ecommerce or related fields
• Working experience with ecommerce, CRM, social media/commerce and product management.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
