Job Summary:
The Manager Commercial Partnerships supports the partner specific team in the areas of account service, communication, tracking and analysis with revenue focused responsibilities. Will be responsible for the day-to-day
operations and directing the team's coordinator. This position supports Google.
Job Functions:
• Sales/Marketing-focused responsibilities:
o Identifying and communicating New Release Solicitation, Label Priorities and promotional opportunities.
o Set up of cross-vertical promotions and themed events
o Creating and managing catalogue promotion for events
o Managing and updating Master Hit List
o Social Media Marketing: Identify opportunities and guide execution of social media outreach with account and content providers
• Revenue and reporting support:
o Manage pricing at partner in conjunction with Release Administration
o Compiling and reporting key revenue information and account trends.
o Key positioning and new release solicitation reports
o Provide historical data and requested reports for account and content providers
o Competitive research
o Liaison with IT / Business Analysis on daily and ad-hoc reporting needs to labels
o Manage partner affiliates program
• Analysis:
o Weekly comprehensive recap of sales results and market share reporting
o Sales and Promotional event analysis
o Manage analysis requests with partner and internal analysis teams
• Customer service:
o Reconcile metadata across partner & UMG databases
o Ensure content deliveries and problem solve any issues
Job Requirements:
• Excellent Microsoft Office and superior Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTable, macros)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship building with labels and account
• Ability to multi-task and operate in a highly collaborative manner and work in pressure situations
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Extremely organized with superior time management skills
• Inherent analytical and quantitative skills
• Intuitive thinker able to quickly identify problems and design best solutions to resolve issues
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of digital products / product consumption
• Complete understanding of deals administration procedures and UMG sales policies or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with and user of Google suite of products and services
• Strong interest in music and pop culture, with extensive knowledge of current and catalog music titles and artists across all music distribution companies
