Description
Job title: Assistant, Legal & Business Affairs
Responsible to: Director of Legal & Business Affairs UK and
SVP International Legal & Industry Affairs
Department: Legal & Business Affairs, UMPG
Location of work: Fulham
Main purpose of role
• To provide secretarial services, telephone and administrative/support functions to and for the whole of the Business Affairs department
• Provide support to the Contract Manager when required
• Typing and amending all correspondence, agreements and documents
• Support encompassing copy typing, organising meetings and sending and distributing correspondence
• Answering the telephone and dealing with all queries where appropriate, passing on accurate messages and acting as the first point of contact for the department
• Archiving documentation and scanning contracts as appropriate
• Ordering stationery
• Maintaining and archiving filing systems
• Maintaining office equipment
• Maintaining office systems and improving such systems in consultation with the department
• Making travel arrangements
• Any other ad hoc duties that may arise
Person Specification
Essential
• To provide secretarial services, telephone and administrative/support functions to and for the whole of the Business Affairs department

Desirable
• Experience working in a legal department and red-lining of agreements
• Secretarial qualification
• Shorthand/speedwriting
• Music/Music Publishing experience
