Job Summary:

This job exists to assist the VP, Business Affairs to complete tasks assigned to Department. Duties also include assisting in
organizing and facilitating calendar, prioritizing and oversight of daily, weekly and quarterly goals.
Job Functions:

• Prepare 1 drafts of contracts and amendments such as artist, producer, songwriter, co-publishing and confidentiality
• Perform initial review of comments/responses to above referenced agreements
• Perform trademark preliminary searches
• Prepare UCC filings and perform legal research
• Submit copyright registrations of sound recordings and videos / Maintain tracking log on Excel spreadsheet
• Assist Licensing Manager in securing mechanical, DPD and synchronization licenses for CCMG product
• File SoundExchange Letters of Direction for producers and artists
• Maintain/exercise artist options
• Maintain/update Excel spreadsheet of all Distribution agreements
• Register department lawyers for annual professional memberships, professional privilege taxes and CLE seminars
• Screen VP's emails for urgent matters / Maintain VP's call sheet
• Calendar meetings and conference calls for VP
• Organize/maintain filing system for the department (physical and digital)
• Prepare expense reports for VP
• Code and submit all legal invoices
• Maintain/order office supplies for Department
• Provide notary public services
• Other Duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Filebound, Content Manager and Lawson
• Able to communicate well, very organized, detail oriented, great at multi-tasking and prioritizing
Experience:
• 5 years of relevant experience in entertainment industry
• Paralegal preferred, but not required
• Be commissionable as a Notary Public
Education:
• Associate degree with significant experience, or 4 year college degree
