The primary purpose of this role is to develop, nurture and maintain relationships with our key clients and to also develop new business.
In addition, it is expected that you will use your experience and knowledge of the U.K Production Music business to be an integral player in helping plan, implement and drive Focus Music's broader UK Sales & Marketing strategy. You will always be looking for ways and be ready to suggest how we could do things better.
This is a senior level position within the Focus Sales & Marketing team, and alongside the other Key Account Managers it is expected that you will play an important part in leading and mentoring the more junior members of the team.
You will be one of the key faces of Focus Music to our clients.
It is expected that in this role you will spend 70% of your time out of the office in face to face meetings with clients.

Management of key client accounts: maintain and build excellent relationships with them to ensure both the highest standard of customer service and that Focus Music is always at the forefront.
Develop and maintain a regular call and visitation cycle – including regional travel as appropriate.
Meet strict set targets for number of calls and client visits to develop client database.
Proactively sell and promote our wide range of client services including: music, digital services (primarily website functionality), hard drive solution, pre-release material & bespoke production services.
Assist in planning, implementing and driving all aspects of Focus Music's sales & marketing strategy.
Actively seek out new business opportunities including sales negotiations.
Advise clients on licensing and rates.
Be an efficient technical support for clients with any queries related to our website, hard drive or other tools.
Attend client events / trade shows as required and represent the company appropriately.

Maintain your client accounts within our database.
Efficiently follow up on all tasks resulting from your client meetings.
Efficiently respond to the LIVE CHAT feature on our online system.
To provide timely & accurate music searches for client music briefs (either directly or by efficiently delegating to our music supervisors).
Contribute ideas and compile themed playlists for website.
Contribute marketing and promotional ideas for client initiatives.
Provide weekly progress reports on client feedback including releases, usage, music trends, new projects, relevant events and new contacts.
Attend all relevant departmental meetings.
Help and input into the planning and delivery of the UK Marketing plan including: social media, advertising, P.R, e-marketing, events, client promo materials & targeted client campaigns.
Give client feedback to production team including pitching new track & album ideas.
Developing, implementing and managing client events and trade shows in the UK and internationally.

Essential
Experience of dealing with our clients (who include major broadcasters, advertising agencies, independent TV production companies etc) by either having worked in production music, publishing or a record company.
A keen interest in production music or film & TV licensing.
A genuine interest and knowledge in a wide variety of musical styles.
Ability to manage time and work to tight deadlines efficiently.
A willingness to travel across the UK visiting clients together with colleagues.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be articulate, personable, have an eye for detail, organised, numerate, a self-motivator in addition to being a team player.
Proactive with an inquisitive / curious and willing nature.
Further education in music for film/TV course or significant relevant experience in a music, media or music sales environment.
Strong technical background – knowledge of MAC & PC functionality, audio file types.
Desirable
Knowledge of video and audio editing systems.
Interest in digital media.
A technical qualification.
A good eye for design.
Good sense of humour.
