Full Time Paid Internship
Job Summary
Caroline International is looking for a hard-working intern to join their team for a 12 month period. The right person will have good attention to detail and be a good problem solver. A passion for music, strong organisation and excellent communication skills are essential.
Based in West London, our internships are paid, full time, 12 month placements and offer an excellent opportunity for individuals who are serious, passionate and committed to pursuing a career in the music business.
Interns will get a chance to work and learn right at the heart of the most successful global music company, gain valuable experience and establish the start of their career in the industry.
As well as duties particular to the department and specific projects, some general and regular responsibilities for interns include - preparing documents for weekly / ad hoc meetings, updating & managing contact databases, raising purchase orders for costs and invoices as well as general support for the department in terms of diary management, booking transport and ordering stock & stationery.
We are looking for self motivated, hard working and enthusiastic individuals, with excellent communication, IT and organisational skills. Our interns also need to be able to keep calm under pressure and prioritise their own workload. ‘Music’ experience (personal or professional) and a knowledge of working in an office environment is preferable.

Main purpose of role
Reinvigorating the highly respected Caroline label, Caroline International will be a globally integrated network of label management, marketing and promotional teams providing commercial, distribution, marketing, promotional & admin services. Caroline International, based in the UK but with teams in all major territories, will work alongside the Caroline US label to provide independent labels and UMG signed repertoire market benchmarked services.
We are looking to bring an intern into this new team who can benefit from working within a small but energetic label/label services team. This role represents a fantastic opportunity to learn about the different functions in a label. It will ensure interaction with all areas including A&R, marketing, promotion and manufacturing.
The Intern will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to:
Scheduling
• New label set-up.
• Scheduling digital & physical releases.
• Sourcing and correct delivery of label copy.
Assets
• Sourcing music masters and ensuring correct delivery.
• Sourcing artwork and ensuring correct delivery.
Canvassing
• Arranging canvases for physical releases.
Manufacture
• Arranging quantities, prices etc. for both promotional and commercial releases.
Reporting
• Collating sales, streaming & chart reports from Universal systems.
Person specification
• Self-motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure.
• Flexible and able to prioritise own workload.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Meticulous and tenacious about delivering the right results.
• Previous experience of working within fixed processes.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work round issues.

• Experience of working in an office environment.
