Full Time Unpaid Internship
Description
Universal Music Canada is proud to offer students the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the music industry through our Unpaid Internship Program commencing Fall 2017 (September to December). Today’s students may be tomorrow’s employees and this placement will provide interested students with the chance to work with and learn directly from music industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participating in department brainstorms and meetings
• Assist with the distribution/courier of packages including weekly mailbags (Advance music, marketing materials and loot) and prizing to contest winners and promotional partners
• Collect data and compile artist information for placement on the web
• Maintain and update department reports and weekly reports on artist social statistics
• Assist with monitoring artist socials for growth and strategy purposes
• Review content on business partner platforms
• Placing gratis orders
• Assist with scheduling social posts and writing blog posts
• Research new websites and partner opportunities
Job Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program that requires a placement
• Passion for music and the online space
• Knowledge of social media marketing across various platforms
• Knowledge of SEO and WordPress are an asset
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Administrative, copywriting, and blog writing skills are essential
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good organizational and time management skills
