Full Time Unpaid Internship
Description
Universal Music Canada is proud to offer students the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the music industry through our Unpaid Internship Program commencing Fall 2017 (September to December). Today’s students may be tomorrow’s employees and this placement will provide interested students with the chance to work with and learn directly from music industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sourcing promotional materials (artist assets - packshots, publicity photos, bio’s, etc.)
• Submitting various artwork requests, interactive requests (audio & digital)
• Assisting Marketing Managers with In-Store Retail events
• Both physical and digital store checks (Physical - going into various store locations in surrounding area, ensuring campaigns are being executed properly/visible)
• Various research projects for third party and sales opportunities etc.
• Cold calling non-traditional retailers to gather data for sales opportunities
• Help with store checks/price checks (music, mobile, subscription etc.)
• Updating Release schedules
• Various reporting
• Mobile charts (top tones report)
• Pulling product information (i.e. for playlist, UPC, ISRC’s, etc.)
• Placing gratis orders
• Attend weekly meetings and Commercial Affairs Call
Job Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program that requires a placement
• Passion for music
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good organizational skills
