The Global Administration Group is looking for a Global Copyright Specialist to serve at the Global liaison between U.S. home
office and over 47 worldwide territory offices, affiliates and sub-publishers. The person in the role will support Global Copyright daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Job Functions:
• Ensure proprietary UMPG PREF and UMPG Works Administration system profile requirements meet regulated control mechanisms for annual audit.
• Responsible for ensuring correct level of access and timely processing of all new and terminated accounts.
• Provide training in UMPG PREF and UMPW Works as needed to new users.
• Process, standardize and report cue sheets for film and television.
• Support worldwide Global CWR registration file preparation, circulation and processing requirements.
• Identify and escalate all issues requiring support and flag for action by Copyright Senior Manager.
• Collect, prepare and distribute advertising data.
• Handle a variety of requests and queries received from local and global UMPG Offices, affiliates and sub-publishers.
• Other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Advanced data management Excel skills (including vlookup and some formulas) required.
• Strong analytical background. Excellent organizational skills. Detail orientated.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task and work well under pressure with changing priorities.
• Ability to learn quickly, and work proactively.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Overtime as required.
Experience:
• 1-2 years music publishing company experience in a copyright administration related role desired but not essential
Education:
• 4 year college degree; Business/Accounting focus preferred but not required
