Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) is the centralized U.S. catalog and special markets entity for UMG. Working in concert with all
of the company's record labels, UMe provides a frontline approach to catalog management, a concentration of resources, a greater emphasis on strategic marketing initiatives and opportunities in new technologies. UMe is seeking a Financial Analysis and Systems Manager to join our team. The Financial Analysis and Systems Manager will be responsible for managing day to day financial activities related to planning, forecasting, analysis, monthly close activities and financial model creation/maintenance.
Job Functions:
• Use BPC (planning system) to create detailed reports to analyze sales, costs, and overall business performance, generate input form to load forecasts/budgets, develop planning and forecast models, and input and manage income statement forecast (in BPC) and HFM for companywide consolidation.
• Develop and manage system and perform tracking of new releases and project maintenance, and extensive Excel based models to assist in forecasting and ad hoc analysis.
• Prepare project specific profit and loss statements in order to analyze business performance.
• Contribute as part of the Finance team in all areas of monthly forecasting and annual planning process
• Complete/help in other monthly tasks and projects, based on business needs.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong aptitude for learning new systems quickly and effectively
• Must be extremely well organized and detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities at any given time
• Ability to manage and meet tight deadlines
Experience:
• Prior experience working in BPC required
• SAP/BW Experience is a plus
• Must have advanced proficiency in Excel (Super User)
• 2 years experience in planning and forecasting required in an finance team environment
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience
