About the Role
We are currently looking for a Finance professional to join our finance team here at Universal Music in Sydney. Reporting to the General Manager – Finance & Operations, this person will support the business with accurate financial reporting and business forecasts, and provide insights into the business performance in order to facilitate better decision-making by the leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
• To ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the company’s financial results, assets & liabilities, and to confidently present these results to senior management for review.
• Leading the P&L and Cash Flow forecasting process, working with multiple functions across the business to generate high quality forecast accuracy in the projections.
• To ensure the timely and accurate processing of the company’s royalty obligations.
• Leadership of the Finance & Royalty teams, balancing team motivation, productivity and succession planning.
About You
• A highly motivated, self-driven individual, with the confidence to influence senior management.
• 8 years experience, looking for next career step and beyond.
• Experience in interpreting commercial contracts, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Top tier Chartered Accounting firm background alongside commercial experience highly valued.
• Proven experience in financial management and statutory reporting.
• Leadership and people management.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation law including GST and FBT.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance and CA/CPA.
