A. Job Summary:
The Director, eCommerce Product and Merchandising oversees the business and operational aspects of product and merchandising for the eCommerce and direct to consumer channels. This person will be responsible for delivering, unique and brand relevant product and merchandising offerings for multiple artists, working with all of UMG label partners. These offerings will be unique to each artist and will generate significant sales, margin and profits across the year, including key touring dates, album release dates, key seasons and holidays (St Patrick's day, Mother's/Father's day, back to school, holiday gifting season, etc.) as well as general 'off cycle' marketing of the consumer brand.
B. Job Functions:
• Develop and deliver a product and merchandise portfolio that can be tailored to individual artist brands, working collaboratively with labels and artists
• Work with vendors in all relevant elements of product and merchandising
operations, vendor management and reporting
• Develop and manage merchandising calendar in conjunction with the Label Product managers that fits with overall marketing plans for each artist
• Coordinate merchandising and financial plans reflecting margin targets to provide to label and UMG finance teams
• Develop one-off product offerings that are attractive to artist management and highly compelling and relevant to consumers and fans.
• Work closely with labels and digital marketing staff to ensure proper exposure and marketing of all merchandise opportunities.
Job Requirements
C. Job Requirements:
• 3- 5 years of experience in a merchandise management role within an apparel
or music merchandising organization
• Specific experience in eCommerce or consumer facing role
• Demonstrated management skills
• Market experience with fashion, current trend merchandise
• Strong project management skills and experience
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
• Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills
