Description
Universal Music Group is looking for a Director of Label Relations. This role will support the Director of Label Relations dedicated to specific label(s) in the expertise of leveraging and utilizing analytical tools and data sources to proactively improve innovative marketing plans and artist growth initiatives. This includes and is not limited to analyzing break out data, partner data & social trends for the organization. The Director of Label Relations will have working knowledge of UMG label Marketing initiatives so that he/she can fill in for other DLR’s at a moments’ notice and channel information and communication accordingly.
Job Functions:
• • Review and analyse all marketing trends via current and future analytical tools and data sources
• Work with DLR’s assigned to specific labels to create proactive marketing plans based on analysis and trends for current and upcoming releases and marketing plans
• Monitor success of marketing plans and use of analytics for future creative plans
• Support DLR’s with marketing trends & analytic tools
• Have complete awareness of current marketing plans and priorities to enable filling in for any DLR, any label assignment, when needed
• Be the expert on the DLR Marketing Team on data trends, and analytical opportunities as they relate to marketing efforts
Job Requirements:

• Skills/Abilities:
• Strong Analytical Skills.
• Proven experience and knowledge, and application of, current social/demo/data analytics
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.
• Extremely organized and able to multi-task and prioritize
• Proficient in MS office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
• Strong in developing new and maintaining existing relationships
• Strong experience and education in social media marketing
• Strong working Knowledge of UMG and competitive artists.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years experience in related field (music, entertainment, marketing)
• Proven knowledge and experience in working with mobile, digital and app technology
• Proven knowledge and experience in working with online social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram.
• Proven knowledge in understanding data and analytics
Education:
• BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university
