Full Time Unpaid Internship
This role sits within the Virgin EMI Digital team and is primarily focused on delivering outstanding digital campaign tools and assets for frontline marketing campaigns, as well as providing support and assistance to the team when necessary.
General / regular duties:
Design and development of high calibre digital marketing tools to support frontline artist campaigns including artist websites, campaign sites, tools, assets, social media widgets and applications, email marketing templates, animated GIFs, landing pages, data capture forms, social media skins etc.
Work closely with the creative and marketing departments to deliver a coherent aesthetic for artist campaigns and implement across all artist touch points.
Design and create audio visual assets for artist campaigns e.g. visuals for YouTube.
Helping to run eCRM activity including HTML email design, sign up forms, competitions and managing deliveries.
Running analysis and creating reports on growth and changes to social networks for our artists.
YouTube channel management for artist channels including: adding annotations, overlays and links.
Raising purchase orders for costs and closing invoices.
Keeping abreast of new digital innovation and platforms that might be useful or relevant for our artists.
Preparing / printing any documents for artist meetings.
Updating social networking sites and websites with news and content.
Setting up new artist accounts on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Facebook.
Sending packages on couriers, bikes and booking taxis / transport for the department.
Ordering CD stock, stationery and tickets for the department.
Additional ad hoc duties where required.

Good first-hand knowledge of HTML5, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP and SQL.
Experience in responsive cross-browser and device web design.
Confident in using graphics software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Flash).
Good working knowledge and experience of website and asset hosting.
Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS.
Interest in the very latest trends and how to implement them.
Experience in working with social media APIs, Facebook and Twitter integration.
Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
Bright self-starter with team spirit; self-motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure.
Hardworking attitude and approach.
Flexible and able to prioritise own workload and others.
A desire to develop career in creative design and/or web development within music.
Passionate about music with a desire to progress in the industry.
