Job Summary
The Global Classics Digital Account Manager is a newly-created role which will help UMG’s market-leading international classical business develop digital revenue across all digital business accounts with digital retailers. As the number of key global digital accounts managed by UMG continues to grow, the focus on driving digital sales, co-ordination, providing support and sharing best practice with territories is greater than ever. The UMG global classical department is looking to recruit a Classical Digital Account Manager to specifically ensure that classical music is strongly represented at these accounts and we are maximising digital growth for the classical division with a strong focus on market share.

Main Objectives
• Build and maintain excellent relationship with digital accounts to champion and help sell our classical music and ensure we continue to be the market leader in this genre.
• Help grow digital sales above the general market rate and increase our overall market share across digital accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with classical and digital teams across UMG territories by acting as a centre of excellence to co-ordinate and support digital initiatives – account specific or wider business objectives.
• Be a point of contact for digital account queries.
• Work with the VP, Digital, Classical, Classical Streaming Manager, classical labels and senior management within the Classical team to understand and develop business objectives. Part of this will also be to help define digital marketing objectives, develop solutions and implement campaigns.
• Negotiate with key accounts to meet Universal’s digital sales and marketing objectives. This also includes defining key performance indicators and measuring the success of campaigns.
• Work closely with UMG Global Classics International Marketing team to advise and update on campaign details with individual projects – both new and catalogue repertoire.
• Work closely with UMG’s digital accounts and commercial affairs team including production/ digital delivery, sales reporting, finance and legal to ensure good management, budgeting and communication.
• Review and present the overall performance of the accounts on a monthly or more frequent basis as required
• Travel may be required to territories to help with their understanding of the digital environment or as part of the maintaining and fostering a better relationship with the digital account and local UMG teams

o Proven ability to deliver the following in current or previous roles:
o Sales and marketing driven
o Knowledge of classical music and strong understanding of digital music services
o Ability to track developments and innovations, and to identify and exploit opportunities to drive the sales and marketing goals of the business
o Excellent ability to develop relationships, communicate and influence others
o Well organised with the ability to plan and deliver to tight deadlines
o Excellent attention to detail
o Ability to interpret and present analytical data
o Proactive approach to work, constantly seeking improvement in all areas
o Experience of working on own as well as part of a team, and with colleagues at all levels
o Ability to remaining calm in an often pressured environment
o Excellent IT skills; must be proficient in PowerPoint or KeyNote, Word and Excel
