We are currently seeking a Creative Licensing Account Executive with excellent communication, presentation, sales skills and work ethics to assist in the Los Angeles, CA office. Responsibilities include sales related to synchronization licensing representing vast music libraries for film, television and the internet. The position discovers and qualifies new potential clients, exceeding monthly and quarterly activity goals; has skills in film, television and internet synchronization negotiations and licensing with excellent organizational skills. A strong customer-focused aptitude and the ability to work in a fast paced environment required with fervour for music and awareness of industry trends.
Job Functions:
• Discovers and qualifies potential new clients by contacting new and established lead sources such as trade publications, business periodicals, and public websites.
• Exceed monthly and quarterly activity goals. Utilize strategic selling skills on a daily basis to properly ascertain the prospect's needs in relationship to the company's product offerings.
• Become skilled in the use of the FirstCom Music website giving one-on-one website demonstrations as well as group webinars demonstrating the features and benefits of the site.
• Assist in Film/TV and internet synchronization negotiations with new and established clients.
• Update and maintain new leads information in the database, ensuring current and accurate company data, contacts and notes of interaction as well as proper coding of leads.
• Maintain a daily journal outlining the day's events, successes, challenges, opportunities, threats, competitive information and ideas for service and/or product enhancements. Attend local industry functions as necessary to represent FirstCom to the Film / TV and music industries.
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficient in researching potential prospects and finding leads on the internet.
• Must possess strong customer-focused aptitude with a polite and courteous manner.
• Must possess proficient working knowledge of music and the film and television industry.
• Must possess exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of successful proactive inside sales experience with a track record of consistently exceeding sales goals/quotas.
• Experience with synchronization negotiation and licensing for film, television and internet with a firm understanding of industry licensing standards.
• Must have experience building industry relationships including film makers, music creative executives, music supervisors, editors and music editors.
• Experience with database management.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree
