Description
UMG Credit oversees and manages all the credit and collections activities of the largest music company in the U.S. It has historically prided itself in best in class services in collecting income for the company’s businesses – it’s labels and it’s artists commercial assets – digital, physical, streaming - while maintaining the best relationships with its commercial partners. The Credit department is transitioning to be located closer to the UMG main office campus in the Los Angeles area, moving its base from Indianapolis to Woodland Hills to better partner with UMG labels and central services, including Interscope, Capitol, UMe, UMLE, and Commercial Services, and looking for great talent to join the company in this exciting chapter of the music business.
We’re looking to hire an Administrative Assistant for our Credit Department. This role serves as administrative support for Credit, Claims and Accounts Receivable functions.
Job Functions:
• All functions of an administrative assistant including answering telephones, mail distribution, filling and copying.
• Arranges meetings, social functions and travel arrangements
• Prepares expense reports for credit personnel
• Maintains attendance records
• Orders office supplies
• Assists credit personnel in maintaining customer files
• Performs credit review including trade and financial inquiries
• Type interoffice memos, reports and correspondence
• Liaison with other departments and their administrative staff
• Assists with special projects as directed by manager
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Must have a strong knowledge of the functions of Credit, Claims and Accounts Receivable
• Must have excellent communications skills (Written and Verbal)
• Must be able to interact with people of all levels within and outside the company
• Must be proficient in typing, ten key, Excel and Word
Experience:
• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Education:
• High School Education Required, AA or Bachelor’s degree preferred
