Description
The Verve Label Group is comprised of the legendary jazz label Verve as well as the jazz imprint Impulse and all of UMG's U.S. classical holdings, including Deutsche Grammophon, Decca, Mercury Classics and distributed label ECM. VLG is focused on championing both core and developing artists in jazz, classical and legacy artists as well as developing new, emerging talent in keeping with the Verve label’s rebellious roster of artists such as The Velvet Underground, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart and Laura Nyro, to name a few. The Verve Label Group will remain a welcoming home for artists and musicians of all genres with an intention to reach music fans from the ages of 9 to 90.
In this role, the Sales assistant will support the Chief Revenue Officer, VP, Digital Sales and the Director, Sales who liaise with key physical accounts, download and subscription services and VLG’s overall business at the partner level. The Sales assistant will work closely with the Sales team maximize opportunities for all releases.
B. Job Functions:
• Support all daily activities of CRO and Director of Sales, including managing incoming calls, scheduling meetings, & business related tasks.
• Research previous sales history to assist sales department in creating accurate sales projections
• Provides sales vs. projection results by preparing sales tracking reports.
• Maintain advertising/co-op database including inputting all commitments and ensuring their timely processing
• Organize and prepare sales presentations by compiling graphics, marketing & sales data.
• Create sales recap reports for priority releases for senior staff for use in weekly team meetings
• Coordinate the upload of assets to Amazon Vendor Central including album covers, track lists, and product descriptions.
• Creation of Amazon affiliate links for all requested releases
• Assist sales team in the selection and submission of titles for account promotions
• Coordinate travel plans for account presentations
• Collation and submission of team expense reports
• Create and distribute weekly label sound scan update
• Execute accommodation sales with artists/management
• Assist the support staff of other label departments as needed
• Update customer records as required

• Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously while working in high pressure situations
Experience:
• 2 years experience working in music industry/sales environment
Education:
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience
