Description
UMPG is looking for a highly motivated person experienced at supervising people and project, the role is responsible for the day to day management of people and processes that drive the North American administration activities including, timely agreement data entry, incoming royalty statements, distribution of royalty statements to UMP NA clients, the analysis and correction of data errors with the aim of improving data quality.
This role is responsible for managing specific tasks and responsibilities that cover the end to end administration value chain. The senior manager will be in charge of delegating assignments to team members depending upon knowledge and experience, ensuring the successful delivery to internal and external clients. The Sr. Manager will work in partnership with the co-Senior Manager to proactively develop and implement new ways to continuously improve data quality and administration services. The position will provide important support to the Senior Directors of Copyright and Royalty to develop global standards, performance metrics and service levels.
The position reports to Senior Director NA Copyright and Senior Director Royalty
Job Functions:
• Manage and support the NA Administration Team Managers and administration team to deliver the end to end value chain for the royalty and copyright administration functions, including:
• Copyright Functions
• Agreement data entry and maintenance
• Agreement sign-off
• Work delivery
• Monitoring of the work registration process
• Sampling and adaptations
• US copyright renewals and reversions
• Counterclaims and disputes
• Film and TV cues sheet data
• Data clean-up projects
• Royalty Functions
• Incoming electronic and manual royalty statements
• Royalty reconciliation
• SAP maintenance
• Royalty adjustments
• Royalty statement distribution
• Royalty analysis and reporting
• Royalty query management
• Manage relationships and tasks with the US Performing Rights Societies
• Develop and implement the on-going training program, identifying training needs across the business functions
• Organize resources, allocation of tasks and set priorities across the NA Administration team
• Manage the Jira workflow for the NA Administration team
• Manage and minimize backlogs across data entry, processes, research and requests
• Manage all processes through active involvement by answering questions, problem resolution, setting targets and monitoring performance
• Collaborate effectively with the other senior manager to manage the team to achieve a consistently high performance
• Development, implementation and deliver of internal service levels
• Implementation of agreed and improved processes in order to increase efficiency
• Design and create the reporting of volume and performance metrics data to actively monitor performance
• Provide support to the Tracking and Analytics team, including research
• Liaise, research and answer requests from the internal business teams, Business Affairs, A&R, Finance, Film & TV
• Collaborate with NA Global Admin Managers to ensure prioritization of US Admin activities
• Research and answer requests from external parties, writers, managers and collection societies
• Work as an active and contributory member of the NA Administration Team, participate in the development of on going service improvements, data standards, workflow and process flow modifications and document file maintenance
• Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Experience at managing a team and setting of timelines and priorities
• Effectively monitoring and manage performance issues
• The ability to work on a day to day basis without daily direction, manage a team through individual tasks and priorities
• Ability to create and building work plans, project plans, setting goals and meeting targets
• Experience at performing research and answering request from internal and external clients
• Follows through on open issues though to resolution, meets deadlines in an efficient and effective way
• Promote a customer orientated culture improving client service and relations
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, data management as well as extract data from customized systems
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
