Looking for an entry level position in one of the top media markets in California? Universal Media Access is currently seeking a part-time board operator to help with day-to-day operations at its main studio in San Jose. It's a great opportunity to work in the San Francisco Bay Area and perfect for someone who is looking to get that next step in their broadcasting career.
The job involves working directly with on air hosts and producers to ensure that one radio station provides an excellent sound that entertains and serves the local community. Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations, plus experience with automation software (AudioVault, WireReady, etc.), editing software (ProTools, Audacity, Adobe Auditon, CoolEdit) and flexible schedule are required.
Applicants with experience in college radio, community radio and live-and-local radio stations are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of the Bay Area and ability to understand another language are a plus as well.
