Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in the Broadcast and IT field 2 or 4 year technical degree, preferably electronics or computer engineering (or equivalent education/experience/ training). Having broad expertise uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Significant barriers to entry (e.g. top management review, approval) exist at this level Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as the spokesperson for the department Accountable for the performance of individuals and the overall performance of the department
Duties: Reports to the BIT Director Monday through Friday, nine to five schedule Hires, maintains and schedules a highly skilled technical staff of trained professionals supporting all CNN on air activities and filebased workflows Reviews and determines budget constraints for project and team meetings Is the face to the customer for CNN BEST Prioritizes and multi-tasks between several projects in a fast paced environment Has fully mastered the skills, knowledge and competencies necessary to perform all levels of engineering Has a wide vision of Turner Broadcasting, the broadcast industry and global insight of news and technology Provides situational and developmental leadership, direction and coaching of all engineering personnel Is accountable for the performance of individuals and the team as a whole Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled.
