The part you will play
You will oversee a team of recruiters that support our news brands – CNN, HLN, CNN en Espanol, CNN International, Great Big Story and more. This will be your world, you own it. You will work alongside three other managers who know their stuff and bring it every day. Your job is to connect the dots on branding, candidates, engagement, social and workload and inspire your team to be great.
What your day looks like
• Managing the team in the day to day by allocating work, supporting them as they do their hunt, help them execute on recruiting strategies, be the person they can go to with anything and always have their back.
• Oversee the @CNNCareers presence across our social platforms and collaborate with our internal brand partners to evolve and maintain the candidate voice.
• Inspire your team to convey the voice of your client's business. Support them to build campaigns and collateral for outreach especially for social platforms that engage target audiences. Work with your peers to align social communication to tell the CNN story and create fans who will become candidates.
• Work with me, the Director of Talent Acquisition, to build a comprehensive recruiting strategy for team that supports the entire TA strategy. This means getting to know your clients and understanding their business; building relationships; building a story to tell; knowing where we need to be and who needs to hear that story to get great people at CNN.
• Use data to analyze trends in sourcing, attracting and hiring talent; monitor social engagement; consult with clients to build hiring manager capabilities and improve their candidate selection.
• Partner with the Manager of Operations/Analytics to provide recommendations for enhancements in technology, process or practices to improve the hiring experience for all.
What will make you a solid candidate
• 5 year's senior level experience in recruiting or equivalent, relevant professional experience in Human Resources or client support role.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, preferably across multiple geographies.
• An extremely high sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment where clients have high expectations.
• A strong knowledge of, and experience with, outside recruiting resources especially social recruiting.
• A desire to keep up with the latest technology and ability to connect the dots on how it can be utilized in our space.
• Strong project management skills.
