Bleacher Report's Product Marketing + Visual Communications group's role is to support ad sales business objectives and strategies which include sales development, new business initiatives, product development & marketing, as well as providing support to other divisions within the Turner family.
The primary role of the Coordinator is to create visually compelling materials and manage assigned projects through all phases of development to successful completion.
The Coordinator's work product includes presentations, newsletters, mock-ups, event invitations and other collateral material. This position will work in a team atmosphere alongside other members focusing on Sales Development and Marketing Promotions.
The Coordinator will assist in the development and revisions of the above creative work while maintaining original design intent, messaging and quality standards throughout the process.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities:
Creative Design: Responsible for developing effective communication tools to support ad sales initiatives and revenue goals; charged with developing well-crafted design solutions for array of projects (reactive and proactive) including presentations, one-sheets, key art, collateral, mock-ups, storyboards, invitations, newsletters, etc.
Formatting and tackle smaller design requests (internal + client facing) including, but not limited to, client-specific B/R templates or refining existing materials (larger scale projects will be escalated to Senior Manager).
Project Management: Responsible for project management tasks such as file management, tracking changes, backing-up files, routing work for proofreading/feedback, gaining internal approvals, manage and distribute internal marketing newsletter, compile research for proactive projects, update existing collateral (One-sheets, Core decks, Research slides).
Team Support: Assist with Sales Dev-related projects as well as projects assigned from all levels of the organization (as necessary), become a source for reactive proposals with considerably high budgets and/or for key client proposals with significant lead times, support B/R Promotions + UK teams w/ client decks as it relates to design/graphics and/or research, provide additional marketing-related duties and support, as required and assigned.
Cross-training: Learn to wear other hats (i.e. media planning, inventory, research).
What do we require from you?
Qualifications:
4 years education, 2+ years design (Bachelor of Arts preferred).
1-2 years of professional experience (preferable working in a digital media environment).
Stellar presentation and graphic design creation, writing and editing skills (some peer or manager edits needed).
PowerPoint Super user - be prepared to provide at least two PowerPoint design samples with assigned creative direction.
Microsoft Expert: PowerPoint, Word, Excel - creating/embedding charts, tables and graphs into PowerPoint.
Beginner-Intermediate Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
An eye for spotting fonts (matching and altering).
Possess a talent for translating information into clear and concise graphics and to be able to tell a story that is thoughtful, organized, and easy to digest.
Demonstrate ownership of assignments, asking for clarification/direction as necessary.
Ability to participate in collaborative project teams and coordinate deliverables/deadlines with corresponding contact leads throughout all phases of a project.
Capable of adhering to deadlines while working on multiple, diverse projects.
Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced and energizing environment while consistently producing collateral and support material of exceptional quality.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Highly driven, self-motivated, and resourceful.
Demonstrates active listening skills and ability to apply knowledge over time.
