Duties: The BIT Engineering Supervisor reports to the BIT Engineering Manager and is responsible for overseeing a broadcast/IT team working in a 24 X 7 fast paced environment. Responsibilities include managing a Tier 2 staff and assigning and tracking incident, service request, and preventive maintenance tickets.
This individual will coordinate technical expertise and serve as an escalation point in providing direction in the diagnosis and repair of broadcast production and information technology systems in our live production control rooms, master controls, and studio environments.
This position requires working on any of the three 24x7 shifts and occasional off shift work for special events. Administrative duties include scheduling and time sheet approval. The BIT Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for performing the mid and end of year performance evaluations and will also meet with his direct reports throughout the year to provide performance feedback as well as career path guidance.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Broadcast/IT Engineer preferably in a television broadcast facility.
Minimum of 4 years with hands-on experience in broadcast systems and fully understand the broadcast workflow from acquisition to transmission.
2 or 4 year technical degree, preferably electronics or computer engineering (or equivalent experience and training)
Exposure to ITSM or ITIL practices preferred.
Bilingual a plus.
