The Troubadour is looking for an intern to assist the Director of Marketing and Promotions, Talent Buyer & General Manager here in the Troubadour's business office.
This internship is open to college students who can receive credit and are studying any of the following: Music Industry, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Business. If you think your current major will allow you to get credit for an internship with us, but is not listed here, please let us know.
We're preferably looking to have an intern 2 - 4 afternoons a week (M-F) from 1pm-7pm and start in mid March 2016. Interviews will be held mid-February.
Intern will be responsible for:
-creating Facebook events
-updating Troubadour Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Spotify accounts.
-managing show posters in the venue
-coordinating print-at-home flyers for all shows
-coordinating contesting on social networks
Intern will assist with:
-ticketing
-production set up
-post office runs
-light office duties (phones, filing, copying, faxing etc.)
-venue upkeep (inventories, etc.)
-contributing ideas for marketing plans
WHO we are looking for:
-strong ability to read social situations
-strong ability to take direction
-strong ability to multitask
-great attention to detail
-familiar with Facebook (and an active user)
-familiar with Twitter (and an active user)
-familiar with Spotify (and able to make playlists)
-familiar with Instagram (and an active user)
-experience with Photoshop would be great, but not required.
-comfortable answering phones
-comfortable in a fast paced environment
-self starter
-outgoing (impromptu dancing may occur)
-easy going
-friendly
-sarcastic (but not too sarcastic)
-prompt
-reliable
-sense of humor
-more or less a normal person, quirkiness okay
-knowledge of music a plus, but not necessary as long as you are willing to learn!
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in the music & concert industry.
