The TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAMMING DEPARTMENT is looking for creative, hardworking and responsible college students and recent grads ('13, '14) that have a strong interest in film, film festivals, film related production, and event planning for the 2015 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The Tribeca Film Festival was launched to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan. The Tribeca Film Festival works to bring together local, national and international talent to New York City to celebrate the best in independent film.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Interns will initially start by assisting the Programming Department (along with other Festival staff members) with various administrative duties and miscellaneous projects. Such duties will include database entry, film and film industry research, in addition to any other office tasks as needed. Duties and responsibilities will increase as the 2015 Festival approaches. This internship is an incredible opportunity to be immersed in and gain knowledge of the world of independent film and the independent film industry. Interns MUST BE AVAILABLE to participate during the Tribeca Film Festival to be held from April 15th to April 26th, 2015.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be:
- Computer literate (MS Word & Excel)
- Internet savvy and phone friendly
- Detail oriented, dedicated and energetic
- Possess strong organizational and communications skills
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
- Have strong knowledge regarding general office duties
- Experienced with computer database software (e.g., FileMaker Pro)
- Strong fluency in a foreign language is a PLUS
HOURS
You must be able to intern a minimum of two days/16-20 hours per week.
