The TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL is looking for creative, hardworking and responsible college students and recent grads ('15, '16) that have a strong interest in film, film festivals, film related production, and event planning for the 2017 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The Tribeca Film Festival was launched to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan. The Festival brings together visionaries across industries and diverse audiences to celebrate the power of storytelling. A platform for independent filmmaking, creative expression and immersive entertainment, Tribeca supports emerging and established voices, discovers award-winning filmmakers, curates innovative and interactive experiences, and introduces new technology and ideas through panels, premiers, exhibitions and live performance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Interns will be assisting various groups such as the Programming, Filmmaker, Industry, Public Relations and Panels departments with administrative duties and diverse projects. Such duties will include database entry, film and film industry research, in addition to any other office tasks as needed. Duties and responsibilities will significantly increase as the 2017 Festival approaches. This internship is an incredible opportunity to be immersed in and gain knowledge of the world of independent film and the independent film industry. All interns MUST BE AVAILABLE to participate during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival to be held from April 19th to April 30th, 2017.
This internship is slated to begin on September 28th and last until April 5th, 2017.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be:
- Computer literate (MS Word & Excel)
- Internet savvy and phone friendly
- Detail oriented, dedicated and energetic
- Possess strong organizational and communications skills
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
- Have strong knowledge regarding general office duties
- Experienced with computer database software (e.g., FileMaker Pro)
- Strong fluency in a foreign language is a PLUS
PAY
To be discussed at interview. Please note that in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
HOURS
You must be able to intern a minimum of two days/16-20 hours per week.
