Specific Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Key responsibility is to oversee the logistics (financial, legal, technical, etc.) and sources physical elements of creative design within budget.
- Gather resources and manage finances and ensure operation is within allocated budget.
- Secures itinerary from trusted advisor and manages the administrative responsibilities for scheduled appearances at sequenced venues.
- Ability to deliver an objective judgement to each individual tour event and make tour adjustments as necessary to maximize net income.
- Works closely with the accounting team to ensure control of budget.
- Responsible for final production meeting with key personnel.
- Serve as consultant on bid and contract services such as lighting, sound, trucking, rigging, bussing, and catering, ensuring quality of equipment, management and crew.
- Communication with assigned client personnel to ensure all matters are scheduled, in place and serve as resource for contractual resolution.
- Maintain knowledge of technical aspects and current industry standards of production.
- Acts on logistic matters as necessary during the booking process.
- Support accounting team with proper close out of tour to include items such as flights, cargo, special contractual obligations, clear receipts and confirm vendor returns.
- Attend meetings with clients, technical staff, artistic director to assist in planning of tour related events.
- Must be well organized and have the ability to maintain positive and productive composure under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with special attention to details.
- Stamina is critical as volume of workload may flux and require excessive work hours and variable times.
- Ability to immediately provide status updates to Director of Touring, firm partners, client and creative personnel.
- Ability to make sound decisions with input from Director of Touring and external creative directors.
Skill and Experience Requirements:
- BS in Music, Entertainment, or Business Management with strong academic record, highly preferred.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office products.
- 7-10 years of management experience in concert, theatrical or entertainment related industry.
