SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE…
- Maintenance and adherence to business management related policies and procedures.
- Review and summarization of all client agreements
- Assist Tour Accounting Manager with client risk assessment, financial planning, and tour budgeting.
- First review of day-to-day financial management performed by Tour Staff Accountants: bill pay, revenue tracking, and client specific accounting and reporting.
- Preparation of quarterly financial statements.
- First review of client communications (cash reports, weekly updates).
- Act as liaison between artist, trusted advisors and support staff.
- Preparation of timely and accurate commissions, calculations and payments.
- Assist Tour Accounting Manager with new client on-boarding procedures.
- Preparation of journal entries (monthly, recurring, and payroll).
- Assist Tour Accounting Manager with tax work paper prep; liaison with Tax Manager to provide necessary data for the completion of all tax processes.
- Preparation and submission of checks for approval.
- Training and development of Tour Support Staff Accountants.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS...
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or Music Business with strong academic record.
- Experience using QuickBooks and Excel.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Experience within a Business Management Firm and/or the entertainment industry where there would be good transferability of skills.
