Search for Royalties Compliance Specialist jobs in Nashville-TN
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES & DELIVERABLES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE...
- Detailed knowledge of assigned books of business to include, client's work area, contracts, primary earning sources and applicable royalty accountants
- Coordinate with client account management team to confirm all payments received via wire and ACH.
- Create and update Royalty Account Summary reports by sources and account, confirm with client account manager recipe of royalty payments.
- Maintain Royalty Compliance Log of client royalty accounts to ensure accurate receipt of all statements.
- Prepare all third party (e.g. publisher, writer, producer and participant) royalty statements based on client contractual responsibilities.
- Create royalty statement tracking reports using royalty log, inventory client statements received from source, determine outstanding statements not received and follow up with royalty sources to have delivered.
- Use relevant systems, such as ''Nielsen's Music Connect (Soundscan)'' to compile sales, streaming and airplay reports of client songs and release and compare with desk audits.
- Submit desk audit reports for review by Royalty Manager.
- Utilize template desk audit reports for specific royalty sources by analyzing, compiling and entering royalty data.
- Communicate to Royalty Manager statement format changes and calculations for further review by staff.
- Assist Director with royalty compliance audits including potential on-site field work and intellectual property valuation reports.
- Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
- Focus and organizational skills to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to positively and productively work with business partners to resolve concerns and respond to questions and request for information.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS...
- 4 Year college degree - Desired BBA (Music Business emphasis) with strong academic record
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel including the use of Pivot Tables and construction of multi-function formulas
- Counterpoint Music Maestro or Record Maestro
- 2 to 3 Years in Entertainment Royalty or Income Tracking
