Position: Head of Production
Responsibilities:
- Guide and contribute to all facets of the production process including planning, shooting, editing/post production.
- for staffing and management of production teams
- Work closely with the creative director, design team, and writers to create compelling and engaging videos and motion graphics that reflect a brand and/or talent centric approach.
- Responsible for approving and/or creating budgets and financial tracking of projects
- Function as tactical consultant offering suggestions and alternatives to push their creative vision within production and budget constraints
- Responsible for overall schedule to ensure creative requests are prioritized and can be accomplished with the resources and time allotted
- Work closely with Production Management and Executive Team to ensure high level objectives are clearly understood and communicated to crew.
- Responsible for providing guidance, experience, insight and inspiration to the crew at large.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working environment
- Identifies potential issues in advance, facilitates problem solving and maintains the momentum required to keep the team delivering on schedule
- Deliver reviews and assist in career development of direct reports, fostering excellence within the group is fostered and acknowledged
- Partner with internal clients, understand their business goals, and develop the appropriate production solutions to help them meet their needs
- Measure performance for the group and drive continuous improvement in KPIs
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully schedule and execute on all aspects of digital production.
- Thorough knowledge of social media data, strategy, and asset management
- Prior experience working directly with creative leadership and talent
- Experience developing and pitching formats and series
- Experience managing production budgets and schedules
- Ability to lead and persuade other, positively influencing the outcome of team efforts
- Excellent analytical, verbal, presentation, and writing skills required
- Work on cost control for all aspects of production
- Must develop and improve production workflows - from development through distribution
- Must maintain and improve quality standards
Requirements:
- Must have have 6+ Years production experience, preferably at an ad agency, production house, or in-house creative services team
- A competitive candidate will have a strong understanding of professional video production, including pre-production, production, and post-production environments, workflows, equipment and technologies
- Working knowledge and technical proficiency in studio operations, cameras, lighting, and editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
- 3+ years in a management, executive, or leadership role
- Bachelor's Degree (Film or Communications, preferred)
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and juggle competing priorities
- Must have extensive digital and influence knowledge
- Must be a quick problem solver
- Must work well under pressure
- Must be able to cut at a timely pace while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Must be able to operate and adapt within an ever-evolving start up environment
- Must have a reel and/or samples of your work
