Art Machine is the print arm of Trailer Park, located in the heart of the industry at Hollywood and Highland. We have a fun, hip and fast-paced culture – which we all thrive on – and we may be looking for you to join us. You are a graduating student, or may already be a graphic artist with 1-2 years experience, but have realized that your strengths may be more suited for a project or production management role. This position is an entry-level opportunity within an advertising agency environment for that career path.
Reporting directly to the VP of Production, the Production Assistant will assist in all capacities of the day-to-day production operations listed below.
Duties include the following:
- Provide support to the Production Coordinator and production management team for all production needs.
- Serve as messenger for packages to/from clients and vendors when needed.
- Manage an organized archiving system and retrieve files from backup.
- Help police server behavior to ensure proper file organization and folder structure.
- Execute and supervise comp boards, mockups and portfolio production for client presentations.
- Order production supplies and maintain inventory.
- Calibrate color copiers & large format plotters, placing service calls as needed.
- Burn CD/DVD duplicates and/or upload final deliverables for clients and outside vendors.- Produce PDFs, record sets, contact sheets and crib sheets.
- Scan in-house assets to support designer needs.
Requirements include the following:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and having the forethought to plan ahead.
- Meticulous, result-oriented and customer-focused with a passion for the creative and production processes.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with internal account teams and outside vendors.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Consistent follow-through ability to traffic communication and ensure project accuracy.
- A positive demeanor while under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
- Strong computer skills and hands-on understanding of the latest Adobe Creative Suite.
- Thorough understanding of the pre-press and printing processes.
- 1-2 years design/production background and/or agency experience or a degree in Graphic Design a must.
