Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategies and services that grow our company's offerings, leadership and most importantly our clients' brands and business.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices, and implement innovative programs in the organization.
• Lead the audience insights and analytics team.
• Creating strategic visions and plans around entertainment brand content.
• Cultivate and inspire a collaborative strategy group that delivers insights and works with internal creative, account services, business development and executive teams to meet client and agency goals.
• Ensure all agency marketing and communication strategies are fueled by data-driven insight.
• Responsible for overall strategy product planning and development - including project management: the successful execution of new initiatives and identifying new opportunities to grow audiences and revenues.
• Serve as the 'thought leader' in aligning marketing strategy with our clients' business goals and objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert in and outside our organization on all things strategy, especially digital and social.
• Identify high-utility applications and distribution strategies that augment and amplify content. Provide new opportunities for consumers to engage longer and deeper with all that we create.
• Foster our current talent as they grow into new digital arenas, develop an environment that will attract and retain the best and brightest, and serve as a mentor to those in and outside of the strategy team to completely immerse our company in the next phase of our strategic development.
Strategy:
• Works across all business units to assess and understand their business needs and be the voice of the consumer to help aid in decision making.
• Understands audience insights with the ability to connect audience content and sell shows
• Conduct and translate market research (brand strategy/tracking/equity studies) into actionable consumer insights that can be used in tactical and strategic decisions.
• Identify new and creative research techniques to assist in addressing busines needs and competitive differentiation.
• Design, manage and analyze research, develop brand positionings, and provide creative insights resulting in communications that resonate with target audiences.
• Recommend strategic direction that will contribute toward increased business and stronger marketing strategies for clients.
• Provide creative teams with clearly defined briefs that inspire and drive development of creative ideas that can work effectively across many channels.
Analytics:
• Establish performance metrics, and then work closely with Content and Marketing experts to show gains and greater audience engagement.
• Monitor trends and developments in digital media solutions, including highly personalized content, social media, and innovative use of video, mobile and other new technologies.
• Conduct, interpret and analyze qual/quant research studies and data to make actionable and insightful strategic decisions.
• Analyze a wide range of information in great detail to gain a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape. This may include demographics: socio-economics and the market for the client’s brand and/or product.
• Monitor culture and social trends and their impact on consumers' attitudes, behaviour and perceptions. Translate findings to support and positively impact our clients' brands and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
• 10 years in strategy, insights and analytics
• Bachelor’s degree or graduate/MBA in similar discipline
• Minimum 4-5 years proven leadership experience managing strategy teams
• Great client relationship skills, and MUST be able to collaborate with clients
• Strong knowledge of insights and analytics tools
• Able to drive business growth with existing and new clients
• Experience in the advertising or digital media industry preferred
• Strong analytics and planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
