Overview:
Trailer Park, one of the world’s leading entertainment agencies is looking for a Senior Strategist to join our Integrated Strategy Team. The Integrated Strategy (IS) Team, is a collective of thinkers and storytellers with expertise in culture, brand, entertainment and emerging digital platforms. Driven by a curiosity to explore the intersections between entertainment and technology, culture and community, and the established and cutting-edge. We partner across Trailer Park, Art Machine and Deep Focus to craft marketing and business solutions inspired by insights, grounded in data and manifested through disruptive creative.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
• Gathering data to develop well-informed and effective strategic plans.
• Designing and managing research initiatives to inform the strategic/creative process based on an understanding of brand, category, culture and audience.
• Uncovering powerful insights that drive big ideas which in turn inspire creative partners from beginning to end.
• Producing inventive ideas with other members of the creative team.
• Writing clear briefs that inspire team members to create exceptional work.
• Analyzing clients to uncover opportunities to stimulate growth.
• Facilitating strategic and creative ideation or brainstorming sessions.
• Laying out actionable roadmaps to lead creatives & clients to world-class creative business solutions.
• Encouraging junior team members to learn and grow within their role.
• Occasionally travel to supported markets or client events.
• Contributing to the objectives and measurement plan for the brand in tandem with agency & client partners.
• Generating and presenting agency’s strategic POVs (presentation skills a must).
Qualifications:
Skills
• A passion for understanding human behavior and culture to drive powerful insights.
• Well versed in digital, but acknowledging that ‘digital’ isn’t a particularly useful word any more.
• Research ambidexterity – qualitative and quantitative utilizing various business data, primary and secondary research.
• Break down complex problems in a simplified, creative and innovative way.
• Be an emerging leader, strong collaborator and a persuasive storyteller.
• Ask different questions to get to different answers.
• Capacity to handle a wide variety of tasks and assignments in a dynamic fast paced work environment.
• Requirements
• 5 years of brand planning/strategy experience.
• Passion for Pop Culture & Entertainment.
• Brand experience across a combination of sports, food and beverage, retail, beauty or technology.
• Deep understanding of and passion for the impact of technology on culture and behavior.
• Solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, Combine book smarts with street smarts.
• Proficiency with syndicated tools such as Simmons, Forrester, Crimson Hexagon among others.
• Familiarity and understanding of research and design methodology (i.e. online surveys, panels, social networks, ethnographies, one-on-one interviews, digital cultural anthropology and usability).
• Apply the rigor the job requires while having the guts to trust your instincts.
• Stand up for your own ideas about what works, what doesn’t and why.
• Be intrinsically optimistic about always finding a better solution.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
