The New Business Manager is responsible for generating new business revenue and driving business development initiatives that are consistent with Deep Focus’ overall strategy. This role will work under the direction of the Director of New Business to identify business opportunities, initiate and maintain new business partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development and refinement of Deep Focus’s new business strategy, and identify prospective clients within various sectors in an effort to expand the Deep Focus brand.
• Maintain a map of our client ecosystem, analyze market trends and generate leads.
• Create and be accountable for all client proposals in response to targeted RFP opportunities.
• Deliver tailored pitch materials to prospective clients through the support of a creative team.
• Actively manage the sales process before handover to a designated account management team.
• Proactively target and develop key relationships with key industry prospects.
• Understand customers’ unique needs and business models to negotiate deal structure and contracts to close integrated opportunities.
• Nurture, maintain and grow existing clients within Deep Focus.
• Partner with the on-going account management and production teams to generate new revenue with existing clients.
• Co-develop initial transition and account plans for new clients aka onboarding.
Experience and Qualifications:
• At least 3-5 years in a business development role in an advertising agency.
• A ‘hunter’ sales person who is sales hungry and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills to win new business with effective and successful results.
• Proven success in winning new business in the agency space and demonstrable knowledge of the sales process.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to se own initiative and drive sales efforts with minimal direction.
