This role is based in Hollywood, CA and sits within the Trailer Park Management team. This role will work under the direction of the CEO and is responsible for heading our Brand Content team, as well as leading Trailer Park’s global content capability through The Engine Group of companies. As we expand our brand content production business, we are looking for a unique, creative marketer to lead the charge and build a lean and agile Brand Content Marketing team, specifically in new media/digital content . This position will lead all brand content initiatives, both internally and externally, across multiple platforms and formats to achieve ourclients’ objectives (drive sales, engagement, retention, maximize value, etc.). The ideal executive will be an expert in all things related to content — from creative solutions to end-to-end production.
As a key member of the Trailer Park leadership team, the Head of Brand Content will play a crucial role in defining and executing Trailer Park’s branded content strategy and driving aggressive growth of the division via continuous new business outreach, industry thought-leadership/marketing and internal communications across partner agencies at Engine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• - Drive division revenue by leveraging broad-based Content category knowledge and a high level of functional expertise -
• - Drive a full service content offering including strategy, creative, production and distribution.
• - Develop collaborative model that accesses the creative thinking and production expertise of Trailer Park’s complete offering
• - Function as content strategist/executive producer connecting brands to the power of storytelling & entertainment through the creation of original content across platforms, including digital, video TV and film
• - Manage division P&L as well as monitor overall financial performance of the group
• - Define, develop, and implement the overall client budget while also providing revenue forecasting for the group.
- Define content strategies that support and extend marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why
• - Overall leadership to provide continuous development and execution within new business, client services and overall delivery within the company’s Brand Content division
• - Spearhead growth initiatives across the agency’s network and client roster.
• - Develop a team to manage and drive day-to-day campaigns on original and exclusive content at the forefront of brand marketing
• - Responsible for overall development of team members including training, performance reviews and promotions
QUALIFICATIONS
• - Bachelor’s degree required. Masters in Marketing or MBA preferred
• - MUST have extensive experience in the new landscape of content; including social media channels, various distribution platforms, MCNS,etc.
• - A passionate and visionary leader
• - 10-15 years of experience as an industry leader in multichannel content creation in brand advertising / entertainment
• - Extensive experience in a start-up and/or emerging products market
• - Demonstrable experience working at the strategic and tactical level in startup/entrepreneurial environments
• - Reference-able experience as a passionate and visionary leader
• - Ability to lead, motivate and mentor staff, as well as influence and lead executive peers
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Impeccable communication skills with a commitment to responsiveness.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, mobile and broadcast
- Ability to have a marketing and publishing mindset to think “customer first”.
- Ability to lead and inspired large teams of creative personnel and content creators to achieve company’s stated goals.
- Skill at both long-form content creation and immediate content creation and distribution strategies and tactics.
- Passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools. Social DNA a plus!
- Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece of content.
- Strong Project management skills to manage schedules and deadlines on ongoing campaigns.
- Excellent negotiator and mediator, with incredible people skills.
