Candidates should demonstrate either agency- or client-side experience, as well as extensive knowledge of the social media online space, including both existing platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouTube, Google , Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, Foursquare) and emerging social platforms. 1-3 years related agency- or client-side experience is preferred. Position may require the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
Responsibilities
• Serves as an active member and manager of clients’ Facebook and Twitter pages, and any additional pertinent Social pages
• Works with the Social Strategy and Planning team to develop campaign activation briefs, social media plans, and relevant proposals
• Finalizes development of social media/engagement strategy at a day-to-day, actionable level by creating short-, medium-, and long-term activation plans and editorial calendars
• Converts activation plans, editorial calendars, and supporting content into client-ready presentations
• Presents activation plans and editorial calendars to client for approval
• Develops editorial calendars and crafts copy and postings for multiple Social platforms
• Responsible for activating these plans and calendars, i.e. "pushes the button" to make posts go live
• Offers strategic insight to each client, guiding them toward the optimal tactical execution that meets their specific marketing objectives, while actively seeking out opportunities to grow client account business
• Acquires, gathers, and manages logistics of all campaign materials as needed for social media campaigns and UGC uploads and distribution
• Monitors campaign performance using sites like HootSuite, TweetDeck, Bit.ly, and more
• Provides tracking and reporting recaps to verify success of campaigns , e.g. creates weekly analytic and recap reports for clients in PowerPoint or Keynote
• Attends events and conferences to learn the latest on all things relevant to social media
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
• Passion for social media
• P rior experience working in social media a MUST. 1-3 years preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the social media space and those who engage with it
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge base of social media platforms ((Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouTube, Google , Instagram, Vine, Snapchat, Foursquare, online outreach and partnership marketing)
• Experience in planning and execution of paid media to complement earned social campaigns - specifically on Facebook and Twitter
• Ability to think strategically and to understand and act upon strategic marketing plans and briefs
• Proven success in launching campaigns and building communities
• Capacity to handle a wide variety of tasks and assignments in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and the desire to introduce clients to potential new strategies and solutions that will positively impact their business
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, both orally and in written form, with superior writing and grammar skills
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients and other agency employees
• Demonstrate flexibility, responsiveness, and the capability to “think on their feet”
• Experience using social media scheduling/listening tools such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, etc. preferred
• Experience using Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and other reporting tools
