Overview:
Deep Focus San Francisco is looking for an experienced Account Director to oversee important agency client relationships. The ideal candidate is a keen marketer that thinks strategically, drives results, synthesizes information effectively and collaborates incredibly well with clients, team members and other business units across our network.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and grow client relationships by providing strategic thinking, fostering mutual trust, and developing partnerships based on trust.
• Proactively communicate with clients about campaign status, performance, industry trends and other relevant topics.
• Know clients’ businesses inside and out, including the competitive landscape, key market and global influences.
• Contribute to the formation of annual resource plans and contractual agreements.
• Run client meetings
• Identify opportunities and cultivate new ideas that achieve client's goals and lead to business expansion.
• Develop communication strategies and write, or collaborate on the writing of, strategic briefs and presentations.
• Defend and protect good ideas.
• Oversee the workflow and communication with the client and internal stakeholders on key strategic, account and financial issues.
• Ensure internal teams and resources are being used effectively and to full advantage.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the account team including training, performance assessments and the development of passion, confidence, accountability and leadership skills.
• Set a positive example for the account management team and proactively provide input/insight in areas that drive the agency forward - organization, morale, culture etc.
• Provide leadership or support on new business efforts as needed.
• Manage multiple suppliers, partners and clients to ensure best outcome for both clients and agency.
• Work with project management team to ensure all programs are delivered within timeframe, budget and to highest standards.
• Establish performance metrics and measurement that map to clients’ business objectives and strategy, ensuring client requirements and met and surpassed.
• Inspire creativity and innovation across team and throughout the agency.
Qualifications:
• 7 years’ relevant experience at a marketing or ad agency.
• Experience with all aspects of digital and social media marketing.
• Demonstrated track record of securing incremental business, developing and maintaining positive client and creative team relationships.
• Proven track record leading digital marketing campaigns and strategies.
• Ability to think strategically, drive results, and build relationships.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary integrated agency teams.
• Strong people manager that is able to articulate and execute a vision.
• Structured thinker with experience writing client-ready presentations.
• Solid project management and presentation skills.
• Strong, strategic customer-service orientation and the ability to form long-term relationships with agency colleagues as well as client partners.
• Positive attitude, drive to succeed, and entrepreneurial work ethic.
• Entrepreneurial spirit. Openness and ability to wear many hats, get hands dirty when necessary and get things done in a fast-moving environment.
• A self-starter and born collaborator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year accredited college or university.
