Job Description
Total Traffic & Weather Network, is the nation's largest supplier of traffic, weather, and information programming to the broadcast industry. Our product airs in 170+ markets on 2,400+ radio stations. We provide advertisers with high reach, product placement opportunities via traffic and information sponsorships on a market-by-market or national basis. We also extend the clients ability to reach highly qualified consumers through our national mobility platform.
Position Overview
Total Traffic & Weather Network has an immediate part-time opening in the Southwestern region of Ohio for an innovative, creative and dynamic Television Traffic Reporter on a major Ohio television station. The successful candidate will have a passion for presenting thorough and accurate traffic information on-camera. This role involves reporting the morning traffic and transportation related news from 4:30 - 9:30 AM, Monday through Friday.
Required Skills
Report traffic segments on all morning shows and other newscasts as needed in Chroma-Key and from an anchor desk at the television station
Show viewers traffic hot spots (construction, accidents and other obstructions) and how to avoid them through both maps and traffic cameras
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous on- air experience is required; Traffic or news reporting experience on radio or TV preferred
Strong knowledge of Ohio local traffic and geography
Basic on-air traffic graphic display system competence
Ability to write and edit broadcast copy
High energy and excellent communication/presentation skills
Comfortable with part-time hours - 25-30 hours per week
Track record of performance under extreme time pressure
