Job Description
Total Traffic & Weather Network, is the nation's largest supplier of traffic, weather, and information programming to the broadcast industry. Our product airs in 170+ markets on 2,400+ radio stations. We provide advertisers with high reach, product placement opportunities via traffic and information sponsorships on a market-by-market or national basis. We also extend the clients ability to reach highly qualified consumers through our national mobility platform.
Position Overview
Total Traffic & Weather Network is seeking candidates for a potential part-time or full-time television and radio helicopter reporting position, covering assignments in the New York City broadcast market. Ideal candidates will have broad availability to fly for breaking news assignments on short notice. The successful candidate will need to accommodate scheduled shifts during mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Candidates must have a passion for flying and be someone who wants to be an airborne reporter.
Required Skills
Reporters are responsible for breaking news and traffic coverage
Additional studio and field reporting duties are likely
Solid knowledge of NYC/NY/NJ/CT geography, streets, and highways is vital
Ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
Required Experience
Major market television or radio reporting
Airborne background is strongly preferred
Proven news judgment
Experience reporting breaking news and traffic
