Position Overview
Total Traffic and Weather Network is responsible for the production of radio-traffic advertisements for internal and out-of-house radio stations across the U.S. The traffic department is responsible for all the behind-the-scenes work in regards to processing advertisements- the start to finish of entering a contract into the system, scheduling, and pushing all needed data out to the affiliates in order to air the advertisement properly.
The scheduler will be expected to schedule a large volume of markets on weekly basis for an assigned set of markets. This is a very fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where the ability to learn computer systems quickly, and work well both as an individual and on a team are crucial to success. In order to do well in this position, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and meticulous attention-to-detail are a must. While this position follows a standard office schedule, occasional overtime is required. The ideal candidate will be ready to jump in, and will always maintain a positive, proactive attitude.
Required Skills
Coordinate with Sales Planning to resolve advertiser bumps and oversell situations
Frequent correspondence with sales staff regarding any issues to assure their orders schedule in full
Recommend various solutions to fix issues with inactive affiliates and lesion to Affiliate Sales
Understanding affiliate feed times and radio spot inventory
Assist in updating and maintenance of departmental spreadsheets
Generation of any requested reporting analysis to sales staff as needed.
Perform schedule changes delegated through Sales Planning on a daily basis.
Required Experience
High School Diploma
Minimum 1+ years Media Experience Preferred (but not required)
Minimum 1+ years Administrative Support Experience, preferably in advertising, radio or marketing.
Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Works well under pressure
Able to perform independently and proactively while working in a team environment
Attention to detail with strong data entry and computer skills are a must
Ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly
Proficient use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Lync
Ability to work overtime as needed
Assertive/Positive personality in expressing potential solutions
