TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the full-time position of: Senior Coordinator, Major Gifts
Reporting to the Director, Development, the Senior Coordinator will provide administrative, donor services, project management, and fundraising support to the Major Gifts portfolio, for TIFF's year-round and Festival programming.
The Development department cultivates and maintains strong philanthropic relationships with prospective and established donors. The Senior Coodinator will be an important part of our enthusiastic, results-oriented team, providing exceptional stewardship to donors during the Festival season and throughout the year.
Responsibilities
• Conduct research on prospective donors; identify potential donors and populate the major gift pipeline with high quality, vetted prospects
• Coordinate Gifts to Close and Top Prospects Reports; supporting moves management initiatives and reporting.
• Support project management for a number of TIFF initiatives involving cultivation and stewardship events; includes regular RE updates and list management, rsvp's, coordinating follow up communications.
• Coordinate Gift Processing, thank you letter generation, Gift Agreement execution,
• Coordinate execution of annual donor activities and personalized stewardship plans
• Serve as a supportive point of contact for stakeholders via phone, email, and at meetings and events
• Coordinate ticketing needs, access passes, event invitations, and venue seating charts for donors at TIFF's various festivals and year-round programming
• Maintain and update database of prospects, actions and gifts, ensuring accuracy throughout the year
• Compose various pieces of TIFF correspondence for internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in departmental and committee meetings and recording minutes to ensure open lines of communication within the organization and to stakeholders
• Other administrative duties including photocopying, faxing, couriering, or filing as needed
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising in the cultural, healthcare or post-secondary sector
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational skills, with superior attention to detail.
• Strong research skills, with an ability to retrieve, and efficiently organize and present information.
• Strong people skills, with an ability to act with tact and diplomacy.
• Knowledge of major gift cycles, metrics, moves management
• Exceptional computer skills and strong proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google software products, databases and other internet applications; experience working in Raiser's Edge is considered an asset
• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and confidentiality while interacting with stakeholders in fast-paced situations
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends.
