Full Time Job
The Treatment Department works with our company's roster of directors to create visual / written commercial treatments. We also do work on digital projects, presentation decks, event invitations, etc. The Treatment Coordinator will act as a support position for the Head of the Treatment Department, covering them on days off and busy days as needed.
General duties include:
-Assigning and scheduling freelance treatment writers and designers for upcoming jobs (sometimes with tight turnarounds)
-Communicating with producers and directors through the completion of a job
-Reading written treatments for style and content
-Looking over visual pulls / design for style and content
-Emailing pertinent job materials (scripts, boards, etc.) to treatment designers and writers ahead of their work on each job
-Attending creative calls as needed
This job would be ideal as an entry-level position for someone interested in advertising, production, design, writing, entertainment, or the editorial field.
Requirements:
-Must be interested in semi-long term work: this job will require a good amount of training and familiarization with directors, freelancers, and staff members, so we are looking to invest that time in someone who is dedicated to the position rather than simply looking for a paycheck
-Must have a thorough grasp of grammar, spelling, etc. Being a reader / writer / in the arts is a plus. A main component of this job is proofreading treatments in layout, so an eye for errors and the ability to suggest better ideas and phrasings are required. An editing / proofreading test may be given.
-A visual and design eye is a plus but not mandatory. Must at least possess common sense regarding images- whether something is too low res / blurry, if an image is repeated in a treatment, if something does not align with the text beside it, etc.
