TOKYOPOP is seeking interns to support our Business & Legal Department in all of their endeavors! Our ideal candidate will be professional, highly organized and interested in law or business.
DUTIES:
• Prepare summaries of business and legal documents
• Create PowerPoint presentations to communicate business proposals
•
• Assist in maintenance of licensing and sublicensing contracts in the database
• Conduct Internet-based research on general business and legal concepts, including trademark and copyright registration, general industry trends, economic and financial data, and report on same
• Assist in maintaining trademark and copyright registration files and developing department files
• Provide administrative support to the business and legal affairs department, as well as limited support to other departments
• Assist in general office management
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Positive attitude and a willingness to constantly problem solve
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Japanese language is desired, but not required
• Must have superior communication abilities
• Able to contribute creative ideas and collaborate with others to enhance original projects
• Knowledge of American and Japanese/Asian pop culture and entertainment desired
• Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
JOB REQUIREMENT:
• This is a Non-Paid Internship in Los Angeles
• You must enroll in an internship class and receive course credit for the work experience
• We will work around the intern’s school schedule and be flexible; however, a regular weekly schedule is required
