Full Time Job
Animation studio with multiple locations is looking for a skilled Macintosh certified technician to oversee the daily IT needs of our Los Angeles studio location. This position is a second Help Desk tech support position, would report directly to the IT Manager, and will be responsible for the following:
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to 125+ artist stations
• Setup/move artist stations comprised of iMac/Mac Pro, Cintiq, and displays
• Provide first line help desk support (password resets, How-to, printer issues)
• Create Help Desk tickets
• Configuring user accounts within OS X, Active Directory, Google Mail for Business
• Imaging hard drives
• Backing up/retrieving data from snapshots
• Deployment of application licenses through license servers
• Support local server system and network at desktop level
• Maintaining VoIP phone system
• Point of contact for 3rd party service providers needing onsite access
• Keep current with the latest technologies
• Troubleshoot/maintain network switches and firewalls
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Mac OS Certified
• Working knowledge of various Adobe Creative Suite applications
• Familiarity with Windows Active Directory and DNS servers
• Experience with file storage systems and command line interface
• Knowledge of power requirements for both workstations and machine room hardware.
• Knowledge creating/troubleshooting/modifying network routes and VLANs
• Ability to translate tech jargon to help explain issues to artists/producers
• FileMaker Server
• NFS/SMB Server Protocols
• Internet Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SSH)
• Excellent Organization, Planning and Strategizing Skills
• Ability to multi-task a must
